Rumpleteazer

Rumpleteazer

Rumpleteazer is a  young orange, black, and white queen and is part of a trouble-making duo Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer. She has a cheeky and fun personality and, like many queens, is attracted to the rum tum tugger.

She is brother to Mungojerrie and her mate is possibly the rum tum tugger as they dance together in the mating dance. In her song she is shown wearing a pearl necklace and a pair of leggings. In some productions she sings quite a bit of skimbleshanks the railway cat.

She is played by Jo Gibb.

Jemima

Jemima

Jemima is a black, red, gold and white kitten. She has a pure and innocent face with her big eyes and soft features.  She is considered as one of the main kittens, and one of the key characters.

She is thought to be the daughter of Munkustrap and Demeter and, if so, she is the niece of Macavity and The rum tum tugger. Her mate is thought to be Alonzo because they are particularly close during the Jellicle ball and they have a private dance , however during the mating dance she dances with tumblebrutus. She may be mate to Mistofolees but it is not certain.

Like her fellow kittens, she is greatly attracted to The rum tum tugger and he seems to have a soft spot for her as well so he plays with her during his song. Jemima is very close to Victoria and the other kittens. She has a deep connection with Old Deuteronomy as in the Moments of Happiness, when he sings it just goes over everyone's heads so he sends the message to Coricopat and Tantomile and then to Jemima, who sings the true meaning for everyone to hear. Therefore everyone understands.
It is also believed that she has a rare connection with the moon as she sings to it several times.

She is played by Veerle Castelyen  and in the 1998 film she was dubbed by Helen Massie. However after filming had finished, she stayed in England until 2001. She was part of the London cast where she played Jemima and was a swing and understudy for Electra. She was not dubbed in this as she had lessons in perfecting her pronunciations of English words.
